The Basics

2 Locust Ave in Troy, NY is for sale for $224,900.

It has 4 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a two car garage, double parlors, a huge dining room (or family room if you're not the formal type), a great back yard and an epic wrap around front porch.  (Plus all the fantastic details you expect in a vintage home).

What's the story?
We had an electrical fire in July of 2011. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the house stood tall afterwards even though it needed extensive renovation. We moved to an apartment, where we are still living while the restoration of  2 Locust is in progress.

We jumped into the renovations with gusto- quite thrilled to be able to go home to a new and (drastically) improved version of our beloved home.

So, why sell?
Just as our (very talented) contractors began work, we found out that we have to relocate to New Hampshire for my career. It's that simple. We'd never (ever) consider leaving otherwise.    (And, quite frankly, it was a very difficult choice to make.)

But we chose to sell. And, so,  we want to do it with the flair and creativity that our house deserves. We really can't properly express the potential and the promise of this house in an MLS listing or a bulleted flyer. That's why I started writing this blog.

Welcome!
